The way we travel changed significantly when we became parents, particularly when POD started school. Of course, we didn’t stop exploring, we just went about our adventures in a different way. We even wrote a post on why it’s important for kids to travel on our parent & lifestyle blog. My fellow family travel bloggers feel exactly the same with their adventures both near and far reflected in their Instagram feeds. Here are just a few of the family travel bloggers I’d recommend you check out on Instagram, make sure you give them a follow and do have a read of their blogs too.
Mum on the Brink – Monika’s Instagram account shares their crazy adventures sailing, campervanning and days out, as well as showing how living with less helps them travel more.
Mummy Travels – Beaches worldwide are a favourite but Cathy and her daughter love to chase blue skies around the world. From cities to the countryside to the coast, her feed is full of bright colours and travel inspiration.
Dais Like These – Daisy has three kids and her Instagram grid is full of pictures of them enjoying anything from a local day out to a trip of a lifetime, and everything else in between! Throw in a pretty destination shot or two, and you have a whole host of family travel inspiration.
Travelynn Family – Jenny and her family aim to push the boundaries of family travel and dispel the myth that adventure needs to wait until the kids are older (her boys are aged 3 and 4). On her grid find inspiration from their epic African road trip, adventures through Asia (particularly India), with a bit of Peak District (their new home) for good measure.
A Modern Mother – Susanna’s Instagram is full of travel inspiration for families with teens. From California to Cornwall and everywhere in between.
Sorry About The Mess – Chloe documents family travel with her 3 boys who are aged 7 and under. Her forte is her visually engaging travel videos that capture the essence of why we treasure family holidays so much – the special moments and the memory making.
Pigeon Pair And Me – Nell has an eye for the scenic and the beautiful. She prefers landscapes to family snaps, but you might just catch the occasional picture of her eight- and six-year-old sneaking into her feed.
Otis And Us – Katy loves to travel and share her family adventures. Her Instagram grid is all about life outdoors, camping, glamping, adventures and family travel with a beach and a pretty door thrown in for good measure.
Tin Box Traveller – Claire fills her grid with moments captured during her travels and family adventures in the UK and Europe. There’s also a good helping of fun at home in gorgeous Devon in the South West of England. The cheeky smiles of her two daughters, aged 5 and 3 feature a lot, but Claire is also partial to an epic view.
Like Love Do – Donna loves a bright coloured photo and has an eye for seeing something different. You will be sure to find snaps from all over the world in her feed as well as plenty of London historic sights, bars and restaurants.
As for the Doves, my Instagram feed focuses on our overseas travels and UK adventures with discovery, exploration and adventure at the heart. Expect to see places and people along with my 7-year-old daughter POD and camera shy husband.
These are some fantastic Instagram accounts – perfect for armchair travelling (and planning my trip, of course!). 🙂
I really love following family travel bloggers on Instagram – they’re such a great source of inspiration!
