Top gift ideas for little adventurers

With Christmas Day (and POD’s eighth birthday!) just a few weeks away, we’ve pulled together a few of the best gifts for little adventurers. Whether it’s making the journey easier, keeping them entertained or treasuring those special memories.

Top of our list has to be Trunki which is ideal for globe-trotting children. POD has a Harley Ladybird which goes everywhere with her, it’s especially useful for road trips or as hand luggage. There are a wealth of other Trunki designs to choose from and children can also design their own Trunki.

VTech has some great cameras suitable for children aged five and upwards,  like the Kidizoom and the Kidizoom Selfie Camera. The latter is a compact and lightweight selfie cam with a selfie stick for taking photos and video. It has a rotating 180-degree lens and cool features and games.

There are a number of travel journals out there. This Kids Travel Journal enables children to plan a trip including what to pack, write about what happened and what they did while they were there as well as sketching what they saw. Plus there are games and puzzles to keep them occupied en route.

This Colour in the World Backpack is by Eat Sleep Doodle. Complete with wash out pens, children can learn about different parts of the world, colour and draw. What’s more, the ink will completely disappear when washed on a warm setting. Ready to start all over again!

POD loves nothing more than colouring, writing stories or playing games. There are times, like following a day out exploring, when she may sit and watch something. Typically this will be something on our iPad Mini but the Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet is a brilliant alternative.

This interactive family map from Lonely Planet can be personalised to include where you’ve been, what you’ve seen and where you want to you. The My Family Travel Map has over 180 colourful stickers, in different shades for each member of the family, the map is perforated so it can be removed and displayed on a wall.
